Recommendation

Co-CEO, Startups, Global Hubs

Business Incubation Consultant

“Linh has been supporting my company’s in its early phase as an intern. She has proven her capability to adapt to a very fast-changing environment of an early-stage startup, self-driven, and able to figure out what was best for the company to do at that timing. She is a very open-minded person who is always wishing to learn, carefully listen to advice but still capable of thinking herself. A really friendly person who would be there to help her colleagues in any situation.”

SimCity Developer, Serial Entrepreneur, Investor

Linh was an intern working with us at EDGEof. We were doing a series of series leadership workshops based on work from MIT’s Center for Leadership. A key senior contributor was unable to deliver his piece. I ended up designing the leadership content for and running the sessions with Linh’s support. Linh jumped in fully with a complex, evolving, and the very public project, and made ongoing key contributions from skilled interactions with guests, and invaluable insights on the material to creating and deploying materials. Through the series of events, with her support, we were able to iterate and evolve the workshops, successfully far surpassing our target outcomes and having a positive and lasting impact on the participants and mentors. I’d look forward to working with her again.”

I. Future Champions

Future Champions is a new kind of leadership workshop based on a framework for the experience based on MIT Leadership principles as outlined in Deborah Ancona’s work.

We chose the format of a ‘journey’ for this first series of events both to invoke the spirit of discovery and learning, and as an invitation to each participant to see themselves as a hero or heroine of their own stories on the path of realizing their visions and becoming better leaders.

This article by Julia Marino gives an in-depth look at the immersive experience.

I mainly help with the execution of this event: from preparing logistics to running all the sessions during the event days.

II. Networking events

During my internship, I also organize more than 20+ networking events to help encourage conversations and idea exchange among attendees.

Some of my ideas for the events

III. Ecosystem Strategy

I design an IT system flowchart (e.g., on Salesforce) to collect and classify the profiles of innovators to match them with different projects and teams. To build up a system, I need to interview and examine data of thousands of game-changers to identify their needs and how they will match the company’s needs.
